Codes of Conduct

Code of Conduct for Academy Players

  1. Respect and Sportsmanship: a. Treat teammates, coaches, officials, and opponents with respect and fairness. b. Avoid engaging in disrespectful or abusive language or behavior. c. Accept decisions made by officials without arguing or displaying dissent.

  2. Commitment and Attendance: a. Attend all scheduled training sessions, matches, and team activities. b. Notify coaches in advance if unable to attend or participate due to valid reasons. c. Arrive on time and fully prepared for all training sessions and matches.

  3. Discipline and Self-Control: a. Follow instructions and guidance provided by coaches and team officials. b. Maintain self-control, avoiding unnecessary aggression or retaliation. c. Adhere to the rules and regulations of the academy, league, and competitions.

  4. Personal Conduct and Appearance: a. Uphold a positive image and behavior both on and off the field. b. Dress appropriately and wear the designated team uniform during matches. c. Avoid engaging in activities that could negatively impact personal or team reputation.

  5. Teamwork and Cooperation: a. Work collaboratively with teammates to achieve common goals. b. Encourage and support fellow players, promoting a positive team atmosphere. c. Show dedication and commitment to the team's success.

  6. Personal Development: a. Strive for continuous improvement by actively participating in training sessions. b. Demonstrate a willingness to learn from coaches, teammates, and experiences. c. Maintain a healthy lifestyle, including proper nutrition and sufficient rest.

  7. Fair Play and Integrity: a. Play by the rules of the game, respecting the spirit of fair competition. b. Refrain from cheating, diving, or engaging in unsportsmanlike conduct. c. Report any form of misconduct or unfair practices to coaches or team officials.

  8. Communication and Feedback: a. Communicate openly and respectfully with coaches, teammates, and officials. b. Provide constructive feedback to contribute to individual and team improvement. c. Address any concerns or issues through appropriate channels in a timely manner.

  9. Safety and Well-being: a. Prioritize personal safety and the well-being of teammates and opponents. b. Follow guidelines and instructions regarding injury prevention and management. c. Report any injuries or health concerns to coaches or team officials immediately.

  10. Representation and Ambassadorship: a. Understand and appreciate the responsibility of representing the academy. b. Display good sportsmanship and uphold the values of the academy in all interactions. c. Be a positive role model for younger players and the broader football community.

Code of Conduct for Parents & Guardians of Academy Players

  1. Positive Support: Encourage and support your child's participation in the academy, focusing on their efforts and improvement rather than solely on winning or results.

  2. Respect for Coaches and Officials: Treat coaches, referees, and other officials with respect, acknowledging their authority and decisions. Avoid confrontations and verbal abuse.

  3. Sportsmanship: Teach and exemplify good sportsmanship to your child. Emphasize the importance of fair play, respect for opponents, and adherence to the rules of the game.

  4. Communication: Maintain open and respectful communication with coaches and academy staff. Address concerns or issues through appropriate channels rather than engaging in confrontations during matches or training sessions.

  5. Attendance and Punctuality: Ensure that your child arrives on time for training sessions, matches, and other academy events. Inform the academy in advance if your child cannot attend a scheduled activity.

  6. Equipment and Uniforms: Ensure that your child has the required equipment and wears the appropriate uniforms for training and matches.

  7. Player Development: Allow coaches to guide and develop your child's skills and abilities. Avoid providing conflicting instructions or placing excessive pressure on your child to perform beyond their capabilities.

  8. Privacy and Confidentiality: Respect the privacy and confidentiality of other players and their families. Avoid sharing sensitive or personal information without consent.

  9. Safe and Supportive Environment: Promote a safe and supportive environment for all players and families involved in the academy. Report any instances of bullying, harassment, or inappropriate behavior to the academy's management.

  10. Compliance with Policies and Regulations: Familiarize yourself with and adhere to the academy's policies, rules, and regulations. Support efforts to maintain a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
