OVERVIEW
Our Young Players Programme welcomes children of all abilities to enjoy football in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment. Focused on participation, learning, and enjoyment, this pathway helps players build skills, confidence, and a lifelong love for the game.
ELIGIBILITY
This programme is currently only open to children born from the years 2017 to 2011.
TEAMS
Under 9 Rookies - The Newcomers, beginning their football journey & learning the basics. Plays 5v5. (Born 2016 & 2017)

Under 9 Juniors - The Young Squad, early in development but starting to understand team dynamics & structure. Plays 7v7. (Born 2016 & 2017)
Under 10 Cadets - Structured learners, developing discipline, commitment & tactical awareness. Plays 7v7. (Born 2015 & 2016)

Under 12 Prospects - Identifying talent, players tracked for future growth. Plays 9v9. (Born 2013 & 2014)
​
Under 13 Pre-Elite - Training with intensity, focus & a pathway mindset in a structured system. Plays 11v11. (Born 2011 & 2012)

SCHEDULES & COMMITMENT
Teams will train between once and three times a week usually. This will be at the discretion of each teams coaches & pitch availabilities. League matches take place from Fridays to Sundays. Locations for games & training include Victoria Stadium, Europa Point Stadium & Lathbury Barracks Sports Facility.
PRICING & DURATION
The registration fee for the season is £120.00. This includes the subscription to the GFA Youth Leagues. The Start date is August 12th 2025, and finishes on 12th May 2026. All players will receive a full set of playing & training kit.
Teams will participate in two internal club tournaments (Christmas Cup & Superball) as well as a charity match against another club to raise funds towards the GBC Open Day.

Socially, all teams enjoy team activities occasionally including a welcoming party, Christmas party & End of season awards ceremony. Parents can also enjoy our annual Parents V Kids activities throughout the season.
